ESOAL news 2

Here is part 2 of KLTV’s ESOAL coverage.

I particularly like the bit where the kid is asked about what he did at ESOAL, to which he replies, “Um, I’m not allowed to talk about everything…”

Not allowed to talk about it?  That is significant wording, because he means it.  We aren’t allowed to talk about much outside the Honor Academy, and ESOAL is the most guarded event.  We’re told that we shouldn’t speak out because it would ruin the experience of future interns.  The mysterious hype surrounding ESOAL is much of its appeal.  Participating is initiation into a secret club, and exposing its reality is betrayal.  By speaking out about my experiences at all, I am making a substantial stand in opposition to the organization.
